Volunteers Teaching Safe Boating

The Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons ( CPS ) mission is to increase awareness and knowledge of safe boating by educating and training members of the general public, by fostering fellowship among members, and by establishing partnerships and alliances with organizations and agencies interested in boating.

Shediac Power and Sail Squadron is a unit of the Atlantic District of CPS, and training activities are the major reason we exist. They are the vehicle through which competent and safe boating information is disseminated. Starting with the Boating class and moving up through the other introductory, advanced and elective courses, we provide a list of boating classes that ensure safe and competent training for the general public.

Shediac Power and Sail Squadron is an Accredited and Registered Course Provider for the Pleasure Craft Operator Card, and the Restricted Operators Certificate ( Maritime ). These cards can be applied for after successful completion of the Boating, Boat Pro or VHF courses.

Squadon members, want to dress up your boat with a new CPS flag or Squadron burgee for next summer? You can order new flags thru the Shediac Squadron.
